Water Droplets on the Roses

Went out earlier to check out the butterflies in Dustin's garden. Took many videos and photos. I have to sort through them all now.
August is a busy month in the garden. There were at least 4-5 different species of butterflies. And the hummingbird moths are showing up 2-3 at a time.
Watered the garden while I was out. The butterflies flew right into the water. It was so cool to see. I noticed the roses seem to be doing well. The beetles finally left. I enjoy seeing the blooms with the water droplets.
Photo is mine.

I wish I could see stuff like that, but I can't see fine details. But, I agree water on things like plants is pretty.

Water droplets on roses are very pretty! We have more bugs flying around, than we had during July.

@CarolDM I heard cicadas last month, but never saw one.

@CarolDM I wonder if the intense heat has done this! Or maybe cicadas only live a couple weeks.

Dustin's garden sounds like a very active place, full of life and beauty! Great photo of the roses. I, too, enjoy seeing water droplets on roses, or just about any flower for that matter.

@CarolDM How much damage did the Japanese beetles do? And did you do anything to eliminate or control them?

@moffittjc I talked about it awhile back. They devoured about half of the roses and my rose of sharon bushes in the front. But I used the Bag-a-bugs in the front and back. It has an alluring smell and they fly inside and die. That finally got rid of them. I just need to use it earlier in the season.
I wrote a coupe of days ago about a mockingbird that attacked me in the yard. And he follows me in the front and backyard. I thought he had babies somewhere....
