That was fun

Not. I'm making a bad joke, saying that about my mowing down weeds. Its about 85 above out. Dry heat. I've been watering an apple tree in the back area. The water seeped to the area around it. Knee high weeds of all descriptions on that rocky and hilly ground. I'm glad that job is done for now. Probably tomorrow I will tackle the front yard again. The fun part of today and I mean this as real fun- was walking with Rufus around the fence and to the back of our property. I planted grapes there a few years ago. This year those grape vines have decided to fork over about five pounds of tasty grapes. They're small and sweet. We had some with lunch. Beau Teak kitty started to eat again yesterday. He for sure is not totally mended but he is better. He got outside when I was out picking grapes. He climbed the fence, jumped onto my shoulder then down my back to the ground. The monkey boy. I called to him. He walked behind me as I headed back to the house, following me like a Siamese dog. Once he got back into the house I wiped his eyes and nose. Tonight I'll give him another dose of antibiotics.

I am glad Beau is feeling better. You work too hard in my opinion. You remind me a bit of Andria Perry..without the disturbing tenants.

@snowy Where is Andria Perry?? This year in particular I have cut way back on working outside. The garden or lack of one really shows it. I am doing the bare minimum like mowing where we mostly go and that is working on me. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

@sallypup I don't know where Angie is, hope she didn't succumb to Covid. Alabama has it very bad. You are welcome.

@sallypup So did Rufus get any grapes? I am glad Beau Teak kitty started to eat again. I am glad he is better and hopefully well on his way to a complete recovery. It sounds like he just wanted to come outside and see what you were doing.

@Hannihar From what I have heard, grapes can harm a dog so I did not give Rufus any.

@sallypup Good idea not to give to him then if they harm him.

Glad to hear he's on the mend. I'm sure this heat hasn't helped things.

@kaylachan Thanks. It's too easy to get into an argument. My husband thinks its fine for Beau to go outside. I think he is still on the iffy side for going out. Beau did get a little excursion today, though.

It must be so nice to have your own fresh grapes, we used to have grape vines on our farm when I was a young child. I remember being so happy to go outside and pick the grapes, some made it into the basket, but alot were eaten.

@Juliaacv Those are happy memories. The kind of not so great thing is that the grapes are finally giving us enough to notice and next year we are probably selling out.

I am glad to hear that Beau is feeling better, THose grapes sound really good, Back in Latvia we had a neighbor who grew big purple grapes along his fence and when he had enough he let up pick the rest,

Glad it's done. So good, your fur baby is ok and grapes are tasty. Weeds, pesky things!

Nice to find a few grapes. And happy Beau decided to join the fun. He is a cat-dog like my Dude.
