Have you tried Soy sauced Chicken with Potatoes?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up in a good weather today. Sunny and cool air. I had a great good morning walk in the morning and a dancing exercise. I will have a good walk again in the afternoon later. 
According to the weather forecast the weather will be nice next week and I`m hoping for that but I hope it will not be too much hot because we don`t have an aircon 
Anyways, always wishing for the best. 
Today, I will be preparing a very nice simple dish I learned from my mother. You will just have to fry the Chicken first and then after that you will make the sauce which you will just put some soy sauce and a teaspoon of vinegar in it, add a cup of water and potatoes. Let it boil until the potato is soft then mix the chicken and let it boil for 2minutes. There you have it a chicken soy sauce with potato In the Philippines we call it ``Adobong manok with patatas`` the original is they put some liver in it but I don`t like liver. So I put potatoes instead

That sounds delicious. We make a similar one with soya sauce and vinegar. But that also uses onion, sliced garlic and green chillies.

Yes. That`s right. We also add some garlic in it but not chillies because I don`t like spicy but that`s the original way of making it. Thank you

You said it exactly what it is, " chicken adobo with potato" it's one of the hundreds of adobo versions. We cook that often and often times I like to eat the potato more than the chicken.

@m_audrey6788 do you still put garlic and laurel or bay leaf? At home we still do so it's still basically an adobo.

@TheHorse Oh yes. When you put the vinegar don`t mix it right away let the vinegar be cooked first before mixing it

@m_audrey6788 actually I don't know. My mom or my wife prepares them. Hopefully chicken since it's Sunday and I heard them mentioning in the morning.
