Brendel Brought Me A Gift

I think Brendel was saying, Thanks Mom for all the food you have been giving me lately.
Yesterday I was siting at my computer and Brendel comes through the pet door, from the screen room. She was making a muffling sound. I thought she was going to throw up.
I grabbed the paper towels and followed her. She had a salamander in her mouth. 
They sometimes get into the screen room from the cracks between the flooring.
The Dude just stood there, 
I am not sure he has ever seen these critters before. I was finally able to grab him with the paper towel. Took him to the yard and released him. He was only 5-6 inches long.
Brendel kept meowing and looking for this gift for an hour afterwards. I would say she is feeling better these days.
Found out this little bit of trivia I did not know about salamanders. Good to know:
Though they secrete a poisonous fluid from their body, still, they can be taken in your palms but not for very long. Handling them also depends upon the particular species you pet.
That was my excitement for the day.

Mama Kitty(Mindy)use to bring me a mole that she found:) It would just lay their motionless, I didn't know where she found it!

I once had a cat that brought my parents a living bat. The cat made it to where the bat could not fly.The cat thought she was doing good by bringing the bat to my parents.

It was good, Brendel, spat little poison critter out. Still, nice to have a gift, maybe? Glad Brendel us better!

Brendel loves her Momma. G hasn't brought us anything special like that.
We once had a kitty when we were first married, Micker, who was an inside/outside kitty. Now he loved to shower us with birds, moles, and once a mouse. And he was polite, he laid them on the mat outside and never brought them inside with him. We had to watch before we stepped on the mat.
