They hiked this morning and sent some photos of Mount Hood in Portland Oregon.
Unfortunately, my son isn’t happy with the city except for the food. Lots of bums and garbage in the streets. He’s disgusted by that.
Fortunately, there is no smoke or smoke odors from the fires burning out West.
Tonight, candlelight dinner at an outdoor restaurant by the Pacific Ocean. That I could handle very well.

@DianneN When we drove through Indiana, there was paper and junk all along the highway! I wanted to cry, it looked so terrible.

What happened to the cleanliness of the city? Is it not maintained?

ew, i don't like garbage in the streets either.
i noticed that there aren't many garbage cans in my college town, but in my hometown - you got one like every 10 meters.

@DianneN i agree. and i'm always thinking how can they do that? why didn't their parents teach them that they're not supposed to do that? plus their kids will probably act like them and throw trash wherever they want and so on... sad.

At least he's lucky not to have to deal with the wildfires. I feel sorry for those that are.

I know you know this…but that there is one handsome fella!!!
Dinner by the ocean is always nice. A friend of mine celebrated her re-enlistment by taking some friends, including me, to a beachside restaurant in Waikiki. Heck, a sub tastes better by the ocean!!

@DianneN Mt. St. Helens is interesting. When we were there there was still evidence of the eruption. Many trees down, etc.

Too bad about conditions at Oregon. You know what, window shopping at online Walmart, Hood Pineapple Cottage cheese, 4% pineapple, I came across. I got to look for it. I got to research the name Hood.
