Do You Ever Feel Like Life Isn't On Your Side?

Lately it just feels like life isn't on my side, or that too much is happening for me to handle. First, I am already stressed enough with my medical stuff. Then my husband gets a ticket in the mail for speeding. We saw the video and he was driving the same speed limit as everyone else, so hopefully he wasn't the only one. Next, CPS calls us to tell my husband that my stepson needs to be removed from his moms home. However, we live with my parents and would not be able to offer him a room or even a couch because other family is taking up space as well. They told Larry if placement wasn't found, they would press charges of child neglect. I reached out to some of Larry's family who offered to step in and take him until we have our own place. I am so thankful to them for that, because we have always wanted to have more time with him.
I feel like a failure as a stepmom and mom because I am not able to provide more. We can't afford to live on our own and live paycheck to paycheck.
It's just a lot of stuff at once.

Failure?
Don't be silly. You're no failure.
You just have a bad situation right now.
The stress would make anyone upset.
As long as you keep trying and working toward your goals, NO ONE can call you a failure.
It's hard right now but family has stepped up to solve one problem and if you contest that ticket, it could be reduced or dismissed.
You just never know what comes in life.
The truth is, life isn't on your side. Life is just life. How you handle it is what's important.
I hope things calm down and you'll be working hard for your own place.
I wish you all the luck in the world.

I am so thankful to Larry's family for stepping in. That has relieved a lot of the stress.

@star_disgate You are right, it's hard to tell facts from fiction, this is why I often look at some accusations without evidences toward important people and I shake my head.

@LadyDuck One reason I feel so guilty is because we have always known he should be with us. But with my medical stuff, I can't keep a job. I am trying to get back into my writing and it has been hard. I know once I get started back up, I have some websites I can write on to earn a little extra. I am going to try to put that aside and see how it goes.

I do see some positive things happening . It has been very stressful though. Many of the things causing my stepsons removal seems like his mom making up stories. It's hard to tell fact from fiction

Even since i started working, except salary i didn't have other income.Although you met so much annoyance for the moment, all of it are temporary. It will be done one day.just be patient, you need some time to cope.keeping clear mind is necessary.Good luck.
