Get A Cat, She Said

Grayson, Grayson, Grayson.
Oh, how I love you so.
But, also, how much I want to kill you now.
Do you know how much toilet paper costs? Do you? Do you know the labors I must endure to buy it so I can wipe my butt? Do you know the destruction you have caused to my toilet paper and to my budget?
DO YOU?
Get a cat, she said. It will be fun, she said. In my post on Facebook where I shared this picture I had words they will not let me repeat here. But it was something the likes of "Eff off."
I have now put the paper products into a tote. Having a cat is bliss, isn't it? Now I know why the Chinese put these critters into entrees.

Where do you store toilet paper that he got to it and tore it up?

@lovebuglena I have told the wife. If I have to close doors and put things up, the cat goes. I will not be a prisoner in my own house. lol

I love my cats. Luckily for me, our cats don't seem to have any interest going into the bathroom so our tp is safe. My late Cat, Precious, on the other hand would make a mess of the TP then take a nap in it. I wish I had pictures.

Unfortunately this was in the basement where we stored the rolls. Nowadays we keep it upstairs in the back bathroom closet where he can't get to it. That being said, he seems to have become bored with toilet paper shredding, which is a good thing.

@porwest Yeah. I'm lucky Chilly doesn't seem to be interested.

@kaylachan Cal, our other cat, never was either. It was definitely a Grayson specialty. But like I said, thankfully he seems to have outgrown his interest in shredding toilet paper.

Put the TP where he can't get to it. He was just doing "cat things". Such is the life of a cat owner.

@porwest You are a cat owner. Enough said. They rule the roost. I'm glad we always had dogs. lol

@porwest Only problem with swatting a cat is that they will learn to distrust you and will duck and hide when you come around. I have had to work with a lot of cats that have been hit by humans. It's heart breaking to say the least, to have a cat duck and run and hide when a person comes around. Sometimes they are so badly abused that they have to be put down.

@porwest — cats are very intelligent. They just don’t care about being trained.

You can train cats, I've taught them to retrieve, fetch items for me, speak, and so much more. If you bond with them well and gain their complete trust you can teach them almost anything including how to heal on a leash. Right now, I am happy having taught my pair to trust me that I am not going to abuse them or hit them. It has taken two years, but it has happened.

@BearArtistLady I did not know you could necessarily train them, but it's not like they are dumb, so why not, right?

Pretty always asked if we could have a cat... Thank goodness I've always managed to find houses we weren't allowed to have pets in... Except my fishies... Fish aren't considered "pets".

Petey gives "Love Bites" on my fingers and toes. If he really wanted to do some damage, he would bite hard and draw serious blood. My female Siamese didn't like my ex-husband and bit him. She bit deep and drew serious blood. He swelled up and ended up going to the infirmary. He was on antibiotics for several weeks. Thankfully I had gotten her her rabies shot just a couple months earlier, so they didn't have to quarantine her.
