I'm pretty curious on peoples opinions on this, as we come from across the globe I'm hoping to see some varied ideas. Whats your opinion on censorship of music? Sometimes artists can get away with swearing in their songs, and if its done properly, nobody really seems to notice or care. Other times they are made to make a "clean" version or radio stations have to censor it.
Do you think this is right? Is it unfair? Should they sensor more or less? Is this the same in your country?
(Oh, while I'm at it. Kudos to America, The United Kingdom (particularly Scotland) and of course Australia - in my opinion the best music comes from them)

I dont think bad language is really necessary in music. I know its a part of every day life but i think it all should be censored on the radio etc. If you buy the song then its your choice to listen to it.
I have some music with bad language in it Eg. James Blunt and its not really shocking but its also not repeated over and over. Some people are just way over the top with it
I agree with you re: aus, usa, uk - great music

I agree, and you used a perfect example. james blunt is not exesive with the language. he uses it (I hate to say it) as a sentcance enhanser. where as other genres (like hip hop)seem to use languege for the sake of it.
I have nothing against the James blunt languege, as its in the right context. but swearing for the sake of it, not cool with me.
