hobbies and why? Myself, I have never been depending on company. I can be social if I must, but I prefer silence. I love to read. A good book is most often a better company than a human being. I solve lots of crosswords, it is good for the brain. There will also be a lot of knitting. It is my way of making a contribution to the homeless.

A company with the people who truly matters to your life is the best. But I prefer silence over socializing with fake acquaintance. Btw, I salute your hobby of knitting for the homeless.

I enjoy reading, creating cross stitch patterns and stitching them. I sell them online. And of course I love writing. I guess you could say I pick solitary things to do.

Man is a social animal. I do not hate company, but yes I do avoid negative people. I too love reading but can't do much of that as my eyes goes red. I love cooking with which I keep experimenting.

I like painting. Here is one of the paintings I did recently. I make cards and earrings too. I also like to read and I do sudoku. I like watching telly, and watching DVD's and listening to CD's. I'm also trying to learn Welsh.

I have several hobbies, but I'm not sure there's a main one! I keep trying to set aside time for hobbies. I'll manage for a short while and then get distracted or be too tired after work to want to do anything! One of my favourite hobbies is woodworking. I have a bit of a problem with that at the moment as I can't get to the shed for my tools! However, I have been doing pyrography. Only small things - I burnt some designs onto keyrings as birthday gifts for people. Apart from that, I enjoy crosswords and other puzzles. I knit and sew (mostly cross-stitch). I knitted a blanket for my youngest granddaughter last Christmas, and did cross-stitch patterns (designed and made as a decoration and displayed inside perspex frames) for her 1st birthday last year and my son's 16th this year. I also enjoy glass painting, but I'm not very good at that. I suppose my main hobby, though, is writing. Saying that, I don't consider that so much a hobby as a passion and career goal!
