Happy 15th of August!!!!

Hello dear mylotters. Today is our 75th Independence Day! I woke up at 6 am, a little earlier than usual. I freshened up and started watching the live flag hoisting ceremony in the Red Fort from TV. I ate some milk and corn flakes, which I don't have often because it gets soggy. But I kinda enjoyed it. Then grandma winked at me to take out the small cake we bought yesterday from the fridge. Mom didn't allow it as it was quite early but gave in anyway. But sadly the cake did not taste good. It was a chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The bad part is it tasted like coconut oil or milk. Anyway, we had some Indian sweets which were brought earlier on Friday with dosa. The sweets were great though.  P. S.- Picture of the cake is taken with my phone camera. There was a slight spelling mistake with the staff who wrote so I covered it with an Instagram sticker and then screenshotted.  P. S.2- I don't think we'll buy any cake from that place again.

Jai Hind! That's a real shame the cake didn't taste good. I wouldn't buy one from that place again, either.

Happy Independence Day to you. We'll be celebrating ours at the end of this month. No parades, sadly due to the Covid situation but I'll still do a little celebration at home. Sorry you didn't like the cake though!

@Anqaya Thanks! It will be our 64th. And yes, at this time it's best not to have such occasions.

@Anqaya Happy 75 years. I used to eat corn flakes with milk and at times put a banana in. I am sorry the cake did not taste good. I can see why you did not want to buy any more cake from that place again.

I also add a banana when I have time. But I clearly forgot this morning. Nevertheless, it tasted good. But the cake....ugh!

It's sad that the cake didn't taste good. That's good decision that you won't buy a cake from the shop again.
