Busy morning... creative juices flow

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 11 AM here as I write this post. It's cloudy and pleasant day. There is no sun and no rain, only clouds and winds.
It's a holiday for me today. I am fresh after a lazy Sunday and so today I woke up all energized. It's Monday and Monday is considered a special day in this month of Saawan ( the current month in Hindu calendar). I made some sweets called gujya in the morning to offer to God. You can see that here in the picture. I did an elaborate prayer today doing some chanting and japa.
Now here I am after a delicious filling breakfast of methi paratha ( we add fresh Fenugreek leaves to the chapati dough), curd and raw mango chutney. I got a bit delayed for my breakfast and was super hungry.
I will work for a while on my laptop. My creative juices are flowing and I had few ideas for writing articles as a counselor for the upcoming newsletter of our school. I plan to write down a few talks that I need to record and upload on school portal. I need to do that once every month or two months as a counselor for the school. It's better to pen it down and save it for posterity. My idea is there and I just need to weave it in words before it goes away
Yay!. Got the payment from mylot. Congratulations to all who got it. And if you missed it, there is always a next month. It's mid month and I am halfway through the minimum payout mark despite my less activity here in last few days.. Hopefully I add more and more to my bank in the rest of the month
I would read some discussion and respond before I move to other work.
Have a good time. And a happy new week for all mylotters

@arunima25 This is called Chicken Ada or chicken pockets, filling of deep fried shredded chicken and some seasoning.
If you like sweet you can also make it with grated coconut and sugar.

@FaruMesh I make those chicken pockets for my husband. He loves it.
This one has grated coconut, roasted rava. condensed milk and dry fruits in the filling. Gujiya is very common during Holi.

Enjoyed your post. Hope you have a productive day writing.
We call that snack empanada here. I love it. Don't know how to make these stomach-filling treats.
So I buy at the bakeshops.

@arunima25 Don't know what a semolina is but I think I'd go for your gujya, minus the condensed milk. Coconut and dried fruits are palatable to taste. But I cannot have sweets any longer.
The empanada is mostly cubed potato, carrots, chicken strips, and raisins. Not too salty. Just right for the taste.

@eileenleyva We call them chicken pockets here and I like them. I make it for my children and husband. For my vegetarian self, I put cottage cheese instead of chicken or minced soya chunks. I have tried the chicken ones( I take chicken and fish sometimes, like once in a year or less0.

The one that you see in the picture is sweet with grated coconut, dry fruits, roasted semolina, condensed milk, and some sugar in the filling.
What you have posted is a salty snack. We make it too with our choice of veg or nonveg fillings. My husband loves it with minced chicken inside.

@anil02 Oh My God! That must be horribly hot. This is supposed to be the rainy season in India and there should have been some relief from the heat by now. Hope you get some good rain and relief from the heat soon.

Congratulations! On your Toluna payment. I have not visited Toluna in a long time.
It's nature's fury everywhere...some areas are in drought while others are flooded due to heavy rain.

@arunima25 I did not realize either, it was still the 15th of August afternoon in the USA when I logged out, so I knew they had still a few hours to pay on time.

@LadyDuck That's what JJ mentioned on Forum Coin. It was not actually delayed but Bugs made a post in anticipation that it might be delayed as the server was slow. That is so professional

Yes, they do remind of samosas. But this one is sweet with grated coconut, roasted rava( semolina), sugar or jaggery, condensed milk, and dry fruits inside as filling.
I did not realise that the payment was delyed unless JJ suggested the discussion by Bugs.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji your kitchen garden is fabulous. You grow every vegetable and the soil is fertile for that.

@sathviksouvik Yes, I try to grow a few. Space is a constraint in apartments. I buy garden soil and cocopeat along with organic manure from a nearby Biotech center. We give our kitchen waste to them and get composts at a dirt-cheap rate from them. So, we follow some environment-friendly policies.

Thank You.
Gujiya is very common in North India during Holi.
I enjoy methi ka paratha and we use the homegrown fresh methi. It is delicious.

For a second I thought those are curry puffs! They look so similar to the curry puffs we make here, with minced beef and potatoes inside.

@arunima25 I always write in Word and often edit a little before copying and pasting here. Just sometimes, I manage to write a couple of posts and have them sitting waiting to use.

@JudyEv I have been planning to do that for a long. I do not post so frequently and at times the discussion goes out of my mind. It would be nice to write it for future use.

That's a good practice. I write them straightway here. But for my talk and school article, I write them in word and edit them a few times before submitting them.
Before i press the post button here, I copy it. I have lost a few discussions earlier and learnt the lesson.

Did you fast for all four Mondays or only the first and the last?
I used to so 16 somwars but since last few years, I have left all fasting except for Shivaratri and Ashthmi puja. My diabetes creates trouble for me when I fast.
