Is cheap expensive?

This is a common phrase but I tend to think sometimes it's not always the case. This is because sometimes I buy something so expensive but it doesn't last and while I buy something on a fair price it lasts!

but it really depends on some items I bought cheaply it has long lasted than the expensive on though

I prefer quality and price both. Cheap but low quality is useless too.

I guess it would be like getting fooled at one place, and getting a win on the other. Marketing plays a big part here.

Buying something at a cheap price does not guarantee its good quality so therefore there is a possibility that this cheap product may not last longer. It could only have a useful life of one month so therefore you need to buy another one again in just a short time compared to an expensive product that is of good quality and has a longer useful life.
