Possible Amazon warehouse being built in the area

There is a large piece of property in the area that has been an eyesore for decades. It used to have a vibrant strip mall that contained restaurants, a wicker store, a bowling alley, etc. Over the years it became dilapidated, the stores closed, and it just sat there. Finally the town tore it down and the lot has been sitting vacant for so long that you can't see the concrete parking lot under all of the weeds growing there.
Recently there have been rumblings about the property being used for an Amazon warehouse. Residents are discussing it on the local FB group and the majority of them are against it--as am I. The main road that runs through that area is already a nightmare and is one lane only each way. The other street that could be used to access the property is a regular road running through a residential area. There is absolutely no good way to get goods in and out of there.
The pro-Amazon people keep saying "but it will provide jobs!" Hasn't everyone read how horrible working conditions are in Amazon warehouses by now? There has to be a better use for that property. Don't get me wrong. I love me some Amazon but I don't want a warehouse here in town.

I hope they dont build it then?
They tried that here in Arvada but it was blocked by the council.

I wonder if they could be planning any road changes? That would be a big and expensive project.

Maybe an agreement can be reached for improving the roads to it also.

I'm sorry but I don't get it why people forbid it? Isn't that a good thing?
