We Must Always Have Hope

This plaque hangs in my screen room. A reminder every day to never give up. Always have hope.
Was talking to my friend in another state earlier. Her husband has bone cancer and is on hospice at home. He was able to get up and take a a few steps yesterday. That is great to hear. Every day I wonder how he is going to be when I call.
Sometimes we take people for granted. We hope they will be with us for as long as possible. And then we realize we have to know when to say goodbye.
Reminds me of when I held my Dad's hand for his last breath. Enjoy the moments you have with your loved ones. We never know what the future holds.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's husband. I know what you mean. When I get aggravated with my husband, I just think about what life would be like without him. I couldn't handle it. Love the plaque.

@LindaOHio Not good at all, they stopped chemo a few months ago, nothing else they can do. Every day is a blessing.

That's a good little plaque, it says as much with its beauty as it does with its single word.
You were blessed to be holding your Dad's hand when he slipped from this world, I know that from experience.
I hope that Dustin's Godfather has some good days left in him, for his wife's sake.

Thanks, it is a favorite. And often times no words are necessary, and when they are, less usually works.
I was with my Dad seven days, around the clock, and blessed to say was there to the end.
Appreciate you remembering this was Dustin's Godfather. Makes me happy to read those words on the screen. We face time often and he still has his sense of humor.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been there for my animal's last moments and my parents, too. You can prepare yourself all you want, but it's still a shock.

Your friend is so blessed, to have your understanding and words of encouragement. Losing hope is basically, giving up. I was there for two days, it's a terrible, empty feeling!
What a lovely wall hanging, to keep you reminded each day:)

I remember when I had Covid last month. It was really bad, I couldn't do anything because everything was tiring. I always pray every time to get healed. Because of these hopes I can recover and can continue my studies again
