Yesterday one of my cousins called me and asked about which is best course or stream for higher studies ? He has recently passed his high school and is going to join a university I said him to take a course which suits him the most . He said that he has no particular interest in any course and ready to opt any course which has more scope So now I ask you my friends , which course is best for higher studies and has bright future ?

that depends on his liking. Information Technology seems will always be around since the technology is advancing everyday. But so as medical field too. Good luck to your cousin whatever he choose

I've got no idea. But sometimes even people with masses of higher education don't get jobs and people who leave school sometimes get jobs straight away. Then there are those who decide to become self emplyed. I have to tell you that most of the stuff I learned at school is useless to me know. It's just knowledge I can't do anything with!

@Yoshiro Yes, and sometimes those degrees lead to nothing. I never went to collage or university, but I went on a YTS which was a waste of my time! I just want to be an artist.

That's very subjective because what is "best" for others may not be a suitable one for him, or something that he likes. If it's more about employability than passion, then maybe he should do a bit of research about the current demands of the different industries there.

I am in college first year. It will start next week. Anyway I took English and history majors since I love both the subjects. I can sit for civil service exams or teach or even blog online. But if you want to know about bright future then ofcourse either medical or computer science. Though it depends on your country's trending list. Does he have any hobby?

Anyone can have a bright future in their chosen fields as long as they love it. So it's better if your cousin choose a course that is close to his hobbies or likes.

@Yoshiro that's okay. I guess he can shift to another course once he landed to one that he doesn't like. And that would mean he already figured out what he wants by that time. Maybe he could start with sciences or engineering.

Try taking some Business Management for now. Then, he can just change it when he found the right course for him. This course can get a job in Administrative positions.
