How ironic that the U.S military are buying gasoline from the Taliban to get home from Afghanistan. A 15-year survey of the country by the west found large oil and natural gas reserves and significant lithium deposits, the latter very much in demand for batteries in just about everything we use these days, the new green economy, again another glaring irony, lithium a lot more important than oil and gas in the future, why many believe the west were in Afghanistan. But security around extracting the gas and minerals would probably eat to deep nito profits after trying to get it out in profitable numbers and its not tempting enough to stay around it seems.
This weeks Taliban takeover feels rather contrived by the Americans, who knew full well the Afghan army and government would melt away real quick when the west left. The greater humiliation for these people has always been being under the American thumb for the last two decades, that pride why they fight so hard, and why they gave up. But this was fairly bloodless so everyone knew their role.
The Afghan president filled his helicopter up with money , believed to be around $145 million dollars, and skipped town after the first shot. In fact a lot of Afghan men fled without their women. The alleged 300,000 'strong; Afghan army took off their uniform and returned to their tribal allegiances in under 72 hours. In reality there were barely 78,000 Afghan troops, fraud huge in the army, the so called ghost soldiers, units claiming they had more men to get cash from the government.
This macho Muslim culture of men being in charge is the main reason this happened. Don't blame the west for this one. These people simply want to be a tribal backward nation. We , the west, offered them capitalism but they chose fundamentalism.

China has directly bypassed lithium in this regard, which is a huge improvement.
China Ningde Times has taken a new path in battery system integration and developed an AB battery system solution, that is, sodium ion batteries and lithium ion batteries are mixed and matched in a certain proportion and integrated into the same battery system. Different batteries are accurate through BMS. Algorithm for processing. Balance control of the system. The AB battery system solution not only makes up for the lack of energy density of sodium-ion batteries at this stage, but also takes advantage of its high power and good low-temperature performance. Based on this system structure innovation, more application scenarios can be expanded for lithium-sodium battery systems.

That sums it up pretty well.
The people of Afghanistan have spoken.
They choose third world fundamentalism.
I wonder how their cash crop will do without US help. I expect sanctions to be put in place and the funds from IMF to be halted.
They could be in for tough times ahead.
The Afghan military was always a joke, it's no surprise they disbanded.

You are right since the people of Afghanistan live their lifestyle as they see fit.

Have you noticed that the current Taliban is a bit like the early Chinese Communist Party?
