My Roses Are Survivors

Walked around the yard a few minutes ago. It has rained off and on most of the day. Happy to see so many roses blooming and many buds left to bloom. After all of the Japanese beetles a few weeks ago, I was worried they were done. But they continue to bloom. Hopefully I will have roses a few more weeks. More little things to enjoy. They really made my day.

Roses to me seem to be really tough. We see them here sometimes on abandoned house sites and they still bloom every year.

How terrific that they’re still out! My next door neighbor’s rose bushes bloom for about two weeks in May. Wish they bloomed longer, because they’re beautiful. Glad you’re able to still enjoy the beauty of the flowers….and that the beetles didn’t do permanent damage.

Thanks but they are not really big or long stemmed. I was very close and used a macro. But they are very healthy many buds.

@CarolDM Locusts last year munched all the leaves of the plants. This year they are not as bad.

I understand @CarolDM We have Knockout roses. They pretty much take care of themselves. I’m more interested in my vegetable garden and flowers on the deck. lol
