Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/ Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up in a cloudy and cool air today. I had a great morning walk and a dancing exercise but will have again a dancing exercise with mom later.
Today is suppose to be my day off in cooking but my husband is craving for seafood carbonara. It is a very easy to prepare. You just have to fry the shrimp and ring sliced squid with butter, onion and garlic. Then, pour some creamer and sprinkle with little salt. Then let it boil for 3minutes. Then sprinkle it with some cheese. Oh so yummy
How about you my dear mylotters? Do you like Seafood Carbonara? What do you like in your seafood carbonara? What are you having for today?
I hope you can share it with me here
Have a great day and Happy mylotting

@spiderdust I know that in our days they give names to recipes without even knowing what the real thing is... but there is only one Carbonara and it is with eggs and Roman pecorino cheese (Parmesan if you cannot find pecorino).

I was thinking the same thing because it uses a cream sauce instead of an egg/parmesan sauce. In her defense, however, I did find that a lot of people were listing similar recipes online as "carbonara".

That is something new for me that I would like to try very much. I love seafood marinara but carbonara comes either with tuna or bacon bits with mushroom.
Very appetizing your post is.

Interesting, it looks more like seafood alfredo. I'm used to carbonara having eggs, parmesan, pancetta or bacon, and black pepper... although I could see one using the seafood instead of the pancetta. But what makes it a carbonara without the egg-based sauce?

I like seafood so that would be a great combo to have. The way you prepare it sounds delicious.

It looks so delicious! It's my favorite. I like Carbonara, whether it's seafood or not. I like the creamy taste. I haven't try to make it myself before, though my husband did. Perhaps I should give it a try.
We have steamboat for lunch today.

I do like fried shrimp and fried squid but not in a carbonara sauce. I'm sure your husband will be happy with his dinner
