Why do we have to put likes before commenting?

@myklj999 I've turned off all email notifications but haven't went through discussion notifications. I see where I could help myself by unchecking a few boxes.

But why it is being a pattern

@Miladmalik no real patter either people will like it or won’t. There are lots of people things I don’t like. Some times I get likes but no comments. Some times we get people comment g to your post and they have conversation with others through that comment. Which you can choice to jump in let them keep going, or even delete if you don’t like the comment.

I do not want to turn it off, just wondering why there is a pattern

@myklj999 yes they do but I know few people here who never like a post. They are the top members here. It's strange as they don't want to let others' posts reach the top except theirs.
