It is no secret that I watch CNN for my news. For weeks now they have been promoting a huge concert in Central Park that is happening tomorrow: We Love NYC--The Homecoming Concert. They mention it like before every single commercial break.
I just don't understand why NYC is staging a concert like this at this time. Mayor deBlasio is requiring proof of vaccination to get into restaurants and gyms but we are just going to have thousands upon thousands of people with unknown vaccine status crammed together to see a concert?
The lineup looks pretty good. Bruce Springsteen, Andrea Boccelli, Carlos Santana, LL Cool J, Journey, etc. I'd pay to go see that. . . like 2 years ago or maybe 2 years in the future. Not now.
It seems super-hypocritical to host this huge concert event at this time.
Organizers have detailed the lineup for the massive 'We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert' set to take place in Central Park this month.

So many things said and done over the course of Covid just make no sense.

@Vikingswest1 That is so true. I like the way you phrase it.

I did wonder what the point of this concert was and why they would have it now. Some things make no sense.
