Why this sites named "myLot"?

Have you ever wondered why this site has name as myLot? What does it mean?
I guess to predict it. In my view, the "my" stands for belonging. Then, lot, is standing for "friends"
So myLot is equal with my friend.
What do you think? Does it go with me?

@Miladmalik I have wondered this many times. I liked @Vikingswest1 's answer. It's how I view "MyLot." It's from our perspective I believe. "My" place type of thing like @Vikingswest1 said.

@Miladmalik Yes in England they usually will say 'you lot' which means you bunch. Or friends:)

Seems that is good question , i feel because my , Lot means lot of Discussions and friends
