Hubs' 80th Birthday was on Friday the 20th. His Godson, who is also his cousin, flew up from Tennessee on Friday so that he could take us out to dinner on Saturday. One of hubs' other cousins came along too.
We went to Longhorn Steakhouse. Being a Saturday it was crowded; but we only had to wait 10 minutes. There were a lot of tables empty; but they didn't have enough staff to wait on them. I had my usual chicken tenders dinner with mashed potatoes, salad and their delicious whole grain bread. The waiter brought hubs a hot fudge sundae after the meal for this birthday. His Godson also brought a cake which was soooo good.
I honestly don't know how and when my husband got to be 80 years old. It seems like yesterday that he was 29; and we were just getting married. (I was 22.)
Nothing else going on. What's going on with you?

My favorite is Flo's Filet, but I've never met a bad steak at Longhorn!

Glad to hear you had a great time at the dinner. Not much is going on over here. Took the kids with a quick ride around town with the car today, it was quite nice.

@LindaOHio By the way, my "go-to" steak at Longhorn has always been Flo's Filet (filet mignon), but the last time I was there I tried a Longhorn Porterhouse, and it was heavenly!

I've never been to this restaurant. Don't think there is one in NYC. Glad you guys got to go out and celebrate your husband's birthday.

It is always that way that time seems to fly, I am glad he had a good birthday. I always thought my soulmate would live so much longer but time changed things for us. I wish you both many more happy years and birthdays to come,
