Valuable finds at garage sales

Today I read an article about people who found valuable things at garage sales, and it reminded me of an experience I once had. I visited a garage sale and I bought some old magazines like I always do. When I got back to my home I found some beautiful paper dolls inside some of the magazines. I bought the old magazines because I wanted the pictures for my art, and I didn't know that the magazines contained paper dolls. I decided to sell the paper dolls to a collector. I created an ad online, and a woman contacted me. I got a good price because the paper dolls were in good condition and they were original and old (from 1915) The woman was very happy to buy them for her collection, and I was also really happy because I earned much more than I spent on the magazines. I haven't found more paper dolls since that time. In most cases the paper dolls have been removed from old magazines.
