The new album of trivium Crusade is like metallica song?

its not realy like metallica...but some songs sounds like metallica's songs...maybe 3-5

Although trivium's new album is very good, and i have seen them perform it twice, they have lost some of that special individuality that defined them as a band. It is plainly obvious that a lot of their influence is derived from the metal monsters metallica, but I don't think it should play such a big part in their new music.

People say that like it's a bad thing. Every band goes through different phases of change, trying to find their own unique sound. If they've leant slightly more towards Metallica on their latest album, they'll prolly do an acoustic sessions one next time round. Er...maybe not ;)

Yes the new Trivium sounds a bit with Metallica, they were an inspiring band for them, so its obviously to sound like them.

I'm not insulting trivium in any way they are absolutly fabulous, but i think they had a better thing going before they tried to sound like metallica they were unique and now they are just trying to copy metallica.

I do like their older albums, but I really like their new style. I liked the screams, but I think their new style sets them apart a little more from the rest of the crowd. Sure, they did kind of take a step in a Metallica-esque direction, but they don't sound like a carbon copy or anything like that. I think the Crusade keeps them from being "just another metalcore band." I actually think they were better than the majority of those bands, but they did remind me of others.

Actually, The Crusade does sound a lot like Metallica, at least he vocals do. That was one of the first things I noticed when I heard it. I still like the album, it was just very disappointing when I listened to it the first time. I was a huge fan of ascendancy, their previous album, and if you haven't listened to that yet then please do now. It's almost like a different band.

It does sound a bit like metallica but i dont think it sounds too much like them but for the actual album i really liked it, it was an amazing step up in terms of instruments but i prefered the vocals in Ember to Inferno and Ascendancy , unfortunately Matt said he would never go back to screaming, he said the band is where it wants to be and it is now the kind of band it always was supposed to be now that matt can sing.

trivium has always been inspired by metallica... that's why... i like ascendancy much better although the crusade is great too
