Account suspended?

Got an email advising me that my Paypal account was suspended and I need to click a link. When I click the link I was not directed to Paypal but says link has been removed . I was actually suspicious of the email. In order to verify my account I logged in to Paypal and made a bank transfer account which was successful. I wonder if that email could be from a phishing site? Did you receive this kind of email?

Any email of this kind from "PayPal" which does NOT address you by name but, instead, starts with "Dear Customer" or something like that is 100% certain to be a scam. Your email client probably has a button to mark an email as 'Scam' or similar. Use it! You can also report it to PayPal, if you wish. There are instructions on how to do this in PayPal Help. You will likely not be the first to do so, but they are always grateful to hear any reports of scam emails.

GoAskAlice ("Mr. A. the Admin") thanks for sharing. You're right worth reporting to paypal. This is not the first time that I get this kind of email from bogus Paypal.

@florelway Nearly everyone will get them from time to time. I don't know how they get the email addresses but these scammers will send out thousands or tens of thousands such emails and will always catch out a very small percentage of them. Once you have been duped into providing your email address and password on their look-alike log in screen, you are basically lost, because they now have full access to your PayPal account (unless you have protected it by requesting PayPal to send an access code to your phone, although the scammers can easily get round that, too. if they know what they're about) and will drain it fast as blinking!

It’s a scammer trying to get money. Always when you get these emails just log into your PayPal account don’t lick the links the same with banks or if you have apple products. Just go to your account like you normally would and check from there.

I get these a lot, they are scams. I only trust it if it has my name on it. Also look at the where it is from e-mail....usually has a bunch of random letters/numbers.

I have received similar emails. I always delete them and log into Paypal the normal way. There is nothing wrong with your account, it is a scam email.

Very obvious that it's a scam (Dear Customer is a generic greeting) and Paypal to Me is wrong with Y icon. Paypal doesn't do that.
