My Car Exploded!

After shopping with hubs and getting into the car, I mentioned that it was too early for our dinner reservations last week.
After waiting for the light to turn green, hubs stepped on the gas and then, BOOM! We thought someone shot us with a canon! Smoke came from the back of the car and the top was down, so the smell was awful!
However, it drove nicely, so we decided to drive it home and call our mechanic. On the way home, it started shaking, so we pulled over to the side of the road.
We called our Automobile Association, but sat waiting for a call back for over twenty minutes. They never responded. I pressed a button for connection to concierge service from the car, but hubs noticed a message on the dashboard telling us that we could drive carefully. Called our mechanic and he told us to bring it in immediately.
So we drove home, I took the other car and followed hubs to the mechanic.
To make a long story short, a special fuel line and other things needed to be ordered. Of course it’s located in a tricky, time- consuming place. Haven’t seen the car in days and days.
The good news is that we made it to the restaurant on the dot!

That would feel both scary and frustrating. I am glad you could at least drive it carefully to the mechanic.

“Car problems” is a redundant statement. If you’ve got a car, you’ve got problems.
Glad there were no injuries or mob activity involved. Hope it’s repaired completely and quickly!

I'm glad it wasn't something serious that would have made the car a total loss. And also that you and hubs were safe and didn't get harmed!
