I don't recall when was the last time I rode a bike but i think it was more than 30 years ago. Sadly, it was not the main road at the time I was not allowed to practice there.
Now that my brother gave me this bike, I've been practicing it for three days now.
I'm thinking of going farther tomorrow but I'm scared getting hit by a vehicle. I don't have the proper lock and lights to it.
Even though if I make it to the place, I have to worry about guarding my bike from being stolen.

Best to upgrade it first and get the necessary gear for you and your bike like helmets, arm pads, elbows pads, and kneepads plus additional lights and an anti-theft device for your bike.

Same here I am scared of getting hit by a car. I learned biking way back 2002? and after that year my next bike experience was 2017! I almost forgot how to ride it, thankfully after a few minutes I was able to balance and my foot just find it way to pedal correctly. To God be the glory for that another bike experience and I am so happy that night. Stay safe and God bless.

@Letranknight2015 just make sure that you are not in the crowded area, and you are wearing a mask and a face shield. I hope you also get vaccinated. God bless you and your whole family... (If I can remember it correctly, I already saw a post from you that you got vaccinated).
I think what we have learned before can never be unlearned unless on those things we don't want to learn or afraid to try to learn it. My feet and my body just coordinate and remember how to balance and pedal.. hehehe. have a great day.

Hello @luisadannointed My first bike experience was in elementary, but was never allowed to bike outside the house. Then few days ago, the gap was high but somehow my body remembers it after a 3 days of practice. It's sad because were in a horrible pandemic for me to do bike riding.

Aside from the bike lock and lights, you also have to wear proper gear when biking especially in main roads...

Hello @brokenbee Luckily this road doesn't have strict traffic officers unless it's in the main road which I won't risk it.

Hello @aloglenn so far it's going well. And it saves me time and money from paying trycicle drivers which now cost more than adollar per ride.
