Day 76 1 Samuel 23:7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, “God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.” 8 And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men. 9 And David knew that Saul secretly practiced mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring hither the ephod.” 10 Then said David, “O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake. 11 “Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant.” And the LORD said, “He will come down.” 12 Then said David, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the LORD said, “They will deliver thee up.” 13 Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbore to go forth. What do you do when you feel as though everyone is against you? Do you look for answers from friends and family? David heard Saul searched for him to kill him. He went to the only person he could trust, God. He prayed and asked God what Saul planned against him. When God told him he couldn’t trust the people of Keilah, he left the city. When Saul heard David left, he stopped pursuing David. As Christians, your first line of defense is prayer. When people come against you, pray. When you don’t know what direction to go, pray. God will lead you out of your trouble, and those who come against you will stop their pursuit. What trouble do you face? What avenues have you taken to get out of your trouble? If you don’t employ prayer and seek answers from God, trouble will pursue you. Stop looking for answers, and seek God who has the answers, and He will show you the way. Let’s pray: Father, too often I search for answers to my trouble from others. Help me to seek You first when trouble comes my way. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 27 August 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Absolute power really can transform a person.Saint like Saul chooses to kill David no matter what it takes, because Saul fears David will seize his power. It also shows the greatness of David,he can be Lenin who exterminated the Czar's families when he took the power. But David forgives Saul's guilt. He is the real saviour that chosen by God
