Dog is itchy.

Dog has a skin condition, and had a recent flare up. We cannot get his medication until Monday. We found this out on Thursday. Dog is miserable. My hero of a husband goes online, and finds out that apple cider vinegar mixed with water may help.
We mix that up, and squirt the dog with it, including on his underbelly. Shockingly the 75 pound dog is not thrilled with this, and makes his displeasure known. Do you know how much dog hair you can get on you when you spray down a dog, and rub it in? I do!
The dog was fairly well behaved considering, and did get goodies after so he was happy with that. He is also itching a lot less so that is lovely. (He was licking his privates, which is just yuck. I know he is a boy dog, but come on!)
We will spray the dog every day until Monday when we can dose him. We will stop spraying him after we are able to dose him regularly.
And if you are thinking that poor dog ..... well yes, of course, but please save some sympathy for my husband and I who had to try convince our big fuzzy doofus that this was a good idea. Thanks. :)

Just for the record all dogs hate spay bottles, we actually use it as tool to get our barky dogs to shut up. We will spray you.
That is good that it helped. I have one really itchy dog we may try that thanks for the tip. We use like hydrogen peroxide for her ears it works for a good couple of weeks to a month, she goes nuts when we do it though.
