A few months after the islamic state declared islamic caliphate in Iraq and Syria in 2014, hundreds of tehrang-e Pakistani taliban, TTP, fled to Afghanistan to set up the is-k branch, and turned to ABU bakr al-baghdadi.
They adopted the name khorasan, a historic region formed in the Persian era of the sasani empire, and now includes Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and central Asia.
Over the years, the group tried to expand its domain to offset the expansion in the sham stake. Wall Street journal reports, since the past few years, investigators are actively recruiting santri in the Pakistani madrassa.
But until the fall of al-baghdadi's defeat in raqqa, Syria, in 2019, the recorded isk activity was limited to the kunar provinces, para arhar and nuristan, in northeast Afghanistan.
The expansion of is-k has been blocked off by strong Afghan and taliban forces. But if hostilities with the us federal support center are strong, relations between is-k and taliban are more dynamic, especially at the root level of grass.

(heh-heh ... I recognize the name, sounds like the name of a STAR WARS planet Corusant. )
"if hostilities with the us federal support center are strong, relations between is-k and taliban are more dynamic ..." So; if the us federal support pulls out, the is-k/taliban will dissolve?
