Friends Not Evacuating Ahead of Hurrciane

Talked to my friends just now about evacuating for hurricane Ida soon.
They live about 50 miles from New Orleans. He is on hospice with bone cancer.
I have talked about them before. Very close friends, like family.
They have chosen not to evacuate. They are staying home. I wish them the best.
Very worried as the path of the storm could change so fast, and come their direction.
Thoughts are with them and anyone in the path of this storm during this time.

Oh, how I hate that.
But then we've had tales of "hurricane parties" and people ignoring the warnings for decades. Remember the old man who wouldn't leave Mount St. Helen?

Let's pray for their safety. Those hurricanes can be extremely disastrous. But I hope it won't hit them

Oh! Their decision to not evacuate would worry me. I pray that God protects them and they stay safe.

I don't evacuate when we have a hurricane--no place is really 'safe' and getting anywhere is a mess!!
