on this day Lord Krishna who is incarnation of Lord Vishnu upon seeing sudden up rise in evils on earth took birth for making the earth sin free and teaching us all what a human being is all about, we are grateful to celebrate this special day here in India and shall always seek his blessings and guidance in life.
His teachings are stored in a holy book called Bhagavad Gita. one can find all about life here. He gave his teachings in the battle field which is great in itself. wish you all a happy janmastmi. May the darkness or evil from each one's life go away

Happy Janmashtami. Krishna is an inspiration for generations. I have recently started reading Gita and I find it so empowering.

thanks Dev D I celebrate Janmashtami every year. In fact Gita is the sacred book on which Indians are supposed to take oath in courts about speaking truth. Karma is well explained there.

@abhinalstrikr thanks Dev D. One great thing Lord Krishna said is that humans are supposed to overcome maya. People have maya towards brothers, sisters. People can see for themselves, Abhishek Bacchan hardly can act. Amitabh Bacchan his father knowing that still goes on promoting him and believe that one day he will be superstar. In Mahabharata Dhritarashtra knew that Duryodhana was cruel, uneducated, misfit for the throne. Still as father he went on pushing his son on the throne at the cost of evil for the entire country.
