Has anyone ever been to Japan?

My husband and I and our young son are moving to Japan next year. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on the local culture, and what things we can expect? We are going to be at the Naval base in Atsugi, Japan.

Thank you! I think that we are going to have a great time! I am really looking forward to it! We are lucky, as we already have some friends over there, so that at least will make it easier.

No sorry......but my son spent two weeks in Japan in October and loved it.....he was at Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshami

I havent been to Japan. But what i heard is that its expensive living there. True enough since they are one of the most advanced country and has the most busiest company.

I have heard that it can be expensive too. But I also heard that cars over there are cheaper. Have you heard this too?
