Many have asked for the recipe for the grilled cheese sandwiches I posted yesterday. This is the one I use.
I know many who change it up, use pie filling dough, or your own handmade bread dough of course. I keep it easy and use the crescent rolls. You can also half the recipe, which is what I do, if you want to make a smaller batch.
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
6 oz sliced American cheese
6 oz sliced Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
cherry tomatoes, sliced in half (optional)
Heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix melted butter and garlic powder. In 15x10x1-inch pan, brush 12x8-inch area with half of the melted butter mixture. Press crescent dinner rolls to seal seams in dough.
Layer American and Cheddar cheeses onto dough, leaving 1/2-inch border around edges. Press edges to seal, and brush with remaining melted butter mixture. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake 20 to 23 minutes or until deep golden brown. To serve, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Top with tomato halves (optional).
The photo above is from a cheese cave. I would love to have one of those!
My post from yesterday:
Decided on an early dinner. Rain is starting to move in. Have been on the phone with a few friends checking to see how they are doing. Been on edge most of...

I came to your profile for this recipe, thank you very much for sharing.
The younger brother of my Mom was a Parmesan producer and he had a "Parmesan Cave" like this. They had to turn the big forms of cheese regularly and tap them to be sure there were no problems.

Sounds easy to prepare. I don't have an oven. Can I cook this using the air fryer?

@CarolDM I will try but my airfryer is not here. It is in my apartment. I think I can't go to my apartment because of the virus.

This seems so simple that even a bad cook like me should be able to make a grilled cheese masterpiece! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

@florelway Yes, and many companies will store underground. It has to be kept very cool.
