A delicious indulgence

One of the benefits of moving to the city has been the abundance of shops selling items that may not be seen so often in the small country town that we came from.
For instance, in the mall where we buy our groceries is a small bakery which sells the delicious pastries that you see in the photo above.
These are a real treat to us and I have to admit we’ve indulged ourselves a time or two with these. Of course, there are other goodies there too but we haven’t found anything to match these yet.

Those are my kind of pastries. I am in a fantasizing mood and so I gobbled what was there in your plate

You notice she didn't invite us to have a taste of hers, right?

@DaddyEvil It was gone before the discussion hit the site! I wasn't taking any chances about having to share it.

Ooh, that looks good. I might move to your town for sweet treats like that!
There are pros and cons of city life and country life. Glad you’re adjusting to the big city after living out in the country for so long.

@JudyEv — there’s always trade-offs and compromises. That seems to be a good compromise to me!

You have finally moved! I had no idea where you moved but I’m glad you seem to be enjoying your new place now.

When we moved a few years ago we were quick to find a delicious little Italian bakery and deli.
I get our deli meat and cheese sliced there, but don't linger in fear of coming home with some of their sweets.
Yours looks delicious-I think that city living is agreeing with your palate.

That looks tempting. It must be tough for Vince to resist them. If I am not mistaken, Vince is diabetic or pre diabetic. It remember it vaguely from our earlier interactions here.

@JudyEv That's what I do. I keep the sugar under control and once in a while treat myself with one of these treats. But yes, the key is to have it in moderation.
