The Four Types of Christian Giving

A good way to remember 'the four types of Christian Giving' is The Parable of the Sower (I'm not saying "this is what that parable means," because it's not about 'money' AT ALL; it's just 'a good way to remember the prosperous way of giving,' because even Jesus mentions a 30- or 60- or 100 times' return-on-investment!)
First, the Tithe; given for obedience's sake (I'd think of it as 'the ante,' the bit you put in the pot to play the next hand )
Then, the FirstFruits: given out of generosity (I haven't heard the sermon on this, so I guess it's mostly 'doing your job for free sometimes').
Then, the Alms given out of compassion & sympathy (you see someone needs something that you have, and you give it to them ... JD says the ROI on that is 1:1, which is why I guess he doesn't count that as part of the tithe either).
Then the Seed, which is given by faith in the 40- or 60- or hundred-fold reward. JD says that this giving starts at the eleventh-percent after the tithe (as alms are given by 'the right hand which doesn't let the left hand know what it's doing,' and 'first-fruits' aren't counted either (because I guess you give them before you have a chance to count them)).

(And JD is ... somebody, not that it matters who we're talking about---Jesse Duplantis)

Thank you for sharing this four ways of giving. Thank JD on my behalf as well! Heard the sower parable thousands of times but never this way.

Again, it's not about "money"; but more about 'the number of PEOPLE who will hear your invite & follow you to church.'
