I got my phone call

September 2, 2021 4:24pm CST
The nurse called me and apologized that no one had followed up.These are the results of my test:
Covid 19--negative
Influenza--negative
RSV--negative
human rhinovirus (common cold)--POSITIVE
I did not know they were testing for all of that, so it is good to hear. I have a common cold. I have not had cold like symptoms since January 2020 and I think it may have been covid then.
I will go to work tomorrow. It will be an easy day and I am fine with that. I am glad I needed to see the doctor anyway.
Common cold usually lasts a week to ten days so I am about half way done.

I was relieved, because any of those illnesses would be worse.

Isn't it funny to be happy to have a cold. I am, though.

A slight cough and the fatigue continue on. Probably because I often have too much to do to rest.

With everyone blaming COVID for everything, it's important to rule things out. I guess someone's still trying to figure out how to cure the common cold.... didn't know you could test for it.

You can test for the viruses that cause a cold, but you cannot cure it.

Yes, I just wish it was not so common and had left me alone.

It really is. I did not want to be exposing people.

You can get rid of common cold if you can take some basil leave and ginger mixed with honey.

I am glad for you that you don't have Covid. I hate getting colds, but that is definitely doable, mostly just lasts too long. I hope you feel better soon.
