I finished my jigsaw

My friend gave me a jigsaw recently and I’ve just finished it. It was 500 pieces which is just about the right size for me. I’m not so keen on the really big ones nowadays. I get too anxious to get them done and next thing I know my neck and shoulders are aching from bending over the puzzle too long.
I enjoyed doing this one and it didn’t take me long. However, as is often the case, the sky caused me a few headaches and stiff necks. There are only four different shapes used so it was easy to pop the wrong blue spot in the wrong area. But I got there in the end.
Do you do jigsaws? I only have the one now. I gave away my others when we moved. But in our clubhouse there is a drawerful of them that we can borrow so I’ll get another from there one day.

Big fan of jigsaw puzzles. Gave up when life got busier. Would love to get into it again.

@JudyEv I prefer actual puzzles over the online ones.

My wife loves to do jigsaw puzzles. It is fun to borrow a couple of pieces and see what happens next!

@DocAndersen I'm sure you were. I'm sure you're too nice to go to such depths.

The drawing is beautiful! I always think pictures with horses are attractive.
I built a few jigsaw puzzles with my husband before my eldest was born. I remember we did the last one when my eldest was just started to climb, and we found it it's more difficult to work on the puzzles when he was around. So we stopped buying puzzles anymore. My eldest enjoyed building puzzles as well. He did the 1000 pieces together with me when he got older, but then when younger siblings were born, it's again hard for us to work on the puzzles. Perhaps I'll wait until my youngest gets older, then we can have it as a family activity.
It's a good idea to be able to borrow the puzzles and build some. Sometimes I don't know what to do with those puzzles. I just break the puzzles down into pieces and store them in boxes now.

I used to do them a lot. I need to get through some I have here so I can get them out of the house.

I was on a roll for a while and put together quite a few. I thought about going back and doing them again; but I haven't so far. That's a very lovely one with the horses.

Nice difficult one! Lots of same colors. Back in the 80s, I believe, we had puzzle making. Everyone had to put in one puzzle I'm piece who saw it. It was fun. The hardest we did was a golf course, so many same colors.

@oahuwriter Did you find that, if you gave it away for a while, when you came back to it, you immediately got a few more?

@JudyEv
So did we, but I got to admit, it was so difficult to finish.

Pretty and I used to do jigsaws all the time... When we moved a few years ago we donated them to a local thrift store.
Just wait until you borrow one that is missing a piece... That's the reason I'd only work on brand new ones.

@JudyEv Were all the pieces there when you bought used ones?

@DaddyEvil From memory, one had one piece missing so that wasn't too bad.

Good job on the puzzle! I like the picture of the horses. Do you keep them together and frame them afterward, or do you take the puzzle apart so you can put it together again later?
The kids and I love putting puzzles together. Well, really it's my daughter and I mostly, but my son will jump in every now and then. My daughter loves Disney puzzles, so we're always putting them together. She likes to glue them and frame them when we're done. She's got a room full of Disney puzzles hanging on her walls.

@JudyEv Nothing wrong with that either! Depending on the puzzle, I'll sometimes break them up and put them back in the box so I can re-do it again later.
