September 7 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was an odd day. I got up at my usual time. Well, sort of, if you consider 2:15 AM as usual. A little earlier than usual, but not surprising when you consider I'm moving tomorrow. I'm thankful I got to the pool this morning for a great workout. As I left, dark clouds, thunder, and raindrops met me. I got in the car just as it started to rain. I got home when that little shower ended, so I missed a soaking. I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. I had breakfast and being the early hour I got up, found myself falling asleep on the computer. I had a three and possibly a four-hour nap. I guess I was tired. I missed the whole storm. Rain always puts me to sleep. I'm thankful I got laundry done this afternoon. Though I learned a valuable lesson. Never do laundry in the afternoon. I came home from my son's in rush-hour traffic. Not fun. It was late and I hoped to stop at the store and grab something to eat. That proved hopeless. I'm thankful for Writer's Guild tonight. It just got over. I read a little from New Horizons: Predators and Blue Fire. I got wonderful feedback on it. So, I'm happy. I didn't spend much time here, and over the next few days, it will be limited to the early morning as I start moving at nine tomorrow morning when I get the keys. It will be good to get the boxes out of my living room and put them away in my new apartment. Okay, that's been my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image is mine.
