Quite an Action-Adventure Idea being promoted by Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell etc.: Reporting Abortion-Conspirators for Bounty

That is to say, I can't believe ... a story Rachel Maddow 'imagines' (i.e. speculates could happen more-often than anyone would like): a woman confesses to her lover that she recently had an abortion, the couple breaks-up a few weeks/months later, and he (in a fit of regret or jealousy etc.) TAKES HER TO COURT (along with others he hears were involved in the abortion) & wins $10,000 (for the whole group or a separate $10,000 for each, I don't know).
Supreme Court Justices dissenting opinions (on the Texas law that makes such a story possible) say the law 'essentially DEPUTIZES people, making them Bounty-Hunters who are "capturing" the abortion-users they hear about and -are winning "damages" (whether the bounty-hunters had anything to do with the pregnancy in the first place).
I haven't read the lawmakers' or condoning Justices' reasoning on this, so I can only speculate they're doing it because of the old idea that a life of suffering is somehow preferable to a peaceful non-existence.
And I can't imagine any logical Judge actually AWARDING the bounty-hunters, can you?

No I cannot. It is simply incredulous all this, though my views on abortion are not popular these days, bounty hunting is out

Again, I know nowhere-near-enough to claim to make a close comparison; but I imagine it's like a cross between 'having part of your lungs removed' and 'amputating a limb' ... i.e. nobody "wants" to have the operation performed, but the patient & her loved ones & her doctor decide that the operation HAS to be done!
