Oh how I struggle. It is so hard to tell an adult that they need to change behaviors. That is currently my main job. I don't want to say "just please stop doing that.". I am tired of producing evidence and explaining why. I am almost to the point where I have to spell it out here every day. If you want to work here these things much change today, now. They've been working on the goal for over six months.
I truly loved my job when people were willing to try. It seems that is no longer an expectation. I was raised that you work hard and improve any way that you can. These people are not spring chickens most are over 50. I am so confused by their lack of ambition.

To me it isn't even hard. Dare I say that most people seem to want something for nothing. It is really tough for me to speak to that. I think it's more than a fair wage to answer a call and route it to the correct person at $25.00 an hour. I just don't get it and I am getting tired of trying to find professional ways to address the employee. I know what the hell is not the answer, but I caught myself almost saying that today! I need to adjust.

Some people are basically uninspired. They have no goals, no drive, no will to change anything. You're batting your head up against a wall, with lofty expectation.

Agreed and it's my job to try and let them know if they do not change they won't work here - it's discouraging. I am starting to feel like a complete failure.

@Writingghost You are not a failure, instead you are working with a bunch of uninspired people!

I've never been able to understand people that don't like to work hard.
