Melanie Pressley who gave birth to her son when she was 18 years of age in 1988 since she could afford to take of him at that time, was able to meet her son 33 years later thanks to a DNA test she took from 23andMe earlier this year.
Melanie gave up her son to an adoption agency in Canton Ohio so that her son could be raised by a two parent home which did happen to Greg who was adopted by the Vossler family when he was a child.
Greg wanted to know who his biological mom was when he took a DNA test in 2018 after Greg became a father himself.
Pressley was inspired to find out the whereabouts of her son this year when her daughter Rachel gave her mom a 23andMe card on Mother's Day as well as Pressley's birthday.
It worked since the test results showed that both Pressley and Vossler could be related. Pressley contacted Vossler via text message since the site has that option.
Pressley asked Vossler what was his birthday which is June 17 which did ring a bell that Pressley was finally going to reunite with her long lost son at last.
Vossler who now resides in Winchester Virginia then started to contact his biological mom via email and text messages, they agreed to meet in June 2021 in Pressley hometown in Wadsworth Ohio.
After the reunion took place, Pressley met with Vossler's husband, his two half sisters and half brother while Pressley met with Vossler's wife and two sons.
Vossler believes that his reunion with his biological mother was a dream come true.
