This movie has redefined the conventional style of film-making. It was stylishly edited. But will anyone, who is not familiar with the problems expressed in the movie, relate to it? The ideas expressed in the movie may have parrallels globally. But does the movie have an international appeal?

I do agree....But almost everyone regards it as the best thing happening to the Indian Film Industry, particularly Bollywood. I believe that if 'Lagaan' can be nominated, this should be there. It is a few steps ahead of Lagaan.

I hope that happens.....It is one of the best films I've seen in Bollywood. It suits mainstream commercial & art films to some extent.

The middle age audience may not be ready for a change. They have been seeing movies that had a narrative style in dialogues. In RDB, the dialogues are written to connect with reality. In fact it is one of the few films like DCH, which has a realistic touch in dialogues. The middle aged audience may find it hard to find the attention to detail. For example, Aamir's character name (DilJeet) is referred only once in the entire movie! In most of the scenes, he is fondly called 'DJ'.

pretty tough to decide..
A lot depends on the other movies in the category.
this movie does have an international appeal since it is concerned with youth.
since the jury hardly has any indian origin i don't think RDB can make it to the top.

actually its more bout how the movie was made rather than seeing the indian prespective
