I don't blame the coach fully for the poor performance for the team, but yes he is also one who is responsible for this with his experimentation with the team. The so-called senior members or grade 1 players like sachin and sehwag have taken their place for granted and hence they are bothering to work hard or toil to score runs as their place is secure in the team even if they do not perform well. Where else do you find that if someone who is not performing well being made captain?? Yes, also failure of all the top order batsman is also one of the reason.

it is hard blame 1,and say who is responsible,it is a team game so every member of respective team should be responsible for the result, however, rahul as the captain and greg as coach, should take up the responsibility a bit for this result

I think from selectors to players to coach and captain everybody is responsible for the downfall of indian cricket team. it is the same team that set world record chasing winning targets. But with the lack of form of our senior players like sachin, sehwag, and injuries to key players like dravid, yuvraj. And the inability of our batsmen to face hostile bowling of south africans on bouncy wickets. To be frank coach chappel's experiments are backfiring at the moment as nobody is sure of batting line up it doesn't look settled. And our bowling and fielding hardly inspire confidence.

it's not greg chappel at all behind all these losses.... the problem is with the players confidence and the solution too lies with the players.
greg chappel can only better the team by experimenting the batting order and encouraging new talents, but he can't teach the players like sachin and sehwag how to bat...
it's jst that the players have lost confidence in themselves and hav gone into a shell on the south african pitches.
what they need to do is to come out really strong and determined, and things will fall back into place soon, and indian team will be again on a winning track...
don't forget that due to chappell's experiments in the early phase of his coaching stint, that india made a world record of maximum number of wins successively while chasing....
it's just a matter of time that our players will bounce back and give south africa a run for their money...

I think the team as a whole is responsible for all this mess. Our Players as soon as they geet a place in the team, whether they appear in a game or not,They surely become a brand ambassador for some big company like Boost,Pepsi etc.Our Players are more behind money than they are behind balls.Shame on us.

I think that Grg Chappel is resposible for the downfall of the Indian Cricket team. Because of his more more so called experiments we are loosing our matches.

WE cannot point out a single man for the recent debacle of our team.In one way we should blame themedia also for these also, because they praise the team when they win and heap lot of rubbishes when they loose. The team should only be praised when they show consistency on winning.they are not kids to blame someone for their own fault. They should sit talk and work out few things and take corrective measures.

experiments of greg chapel are very risky to take over.more chances are of experimental flop but sometimes flukly it works too.lack of experience is another problem for the team.new commers have the majority and thus team is under pressure.
