Chris Christie seems to have turned on Trump

Former NJ governor Chris Christie hitched his national star to Trump's wagon after abandoning his own bid for US president. He wanted to be Trump's VP. (nope) He headed up the transition team. (and was soon fired by Jared Kushner) There were questions about if he would get a Cabinet position but if I remember correctly he didn't like what he was offered so he declined. Still he supported and defended Trump during his term. . .
. . . until the January 6 insurrection attempt at the US Capitol. Then Christie's support of Trump seemed to weaken and he even kind of slammed him for what he caused. This was an indication that Christie was considering another run at the presidency.
He gave a speech at the Ronald Reagan Library last night and kept imploring Republicans to stop pushing a lie that they won (and were robbed) and to just accept that they lost and move forward. He said that the GOP has to be seen as the "party of reason, decency, faith, liberty and truth". He stated that Republicans have to denounce "the conspiracy theorists and truth deniers". He never called out Trump by name but it is pretty clear to whom he was referring.
Everyone seems to think that Trump will be the front-runner in 2024. It will be interesting to see. Ron DeSantis has big goals as does Chris Christie apparently.

Chris Christy has gotten smart, as time passes by. He's facing the truth, what's really happening.

@NJChicaa Chris Christy might get one the ticket for President, then use Trump for his VP. I wouldn't put it past those Republicans, they are sneaky and use sly tactics.

I agree 2024 is going to be one election we'll never forget. It would be interesting to see Florida's govonor running.

Thank God Chris Christy is not insane, but he probably thinks by denouncing Trump he can get the less radical Republicans to vote for him. Jared and Ivanka may possibly be indicted soon and the Donald will be next if there is a God.

And then he had a beach closed so he and his family could use it.

I'm glad someone admits that voter fraud is a fallacy.
