Masks optional in non-AC spaces next week

The NJ governor issued a mask mandate for all schools for at least the first couple of weeks of school. There was an exception included in the order for times when the heat was going to be excessive and in areas with no air conditioning. This first week the district superintendent said people didn't have to wear masks in those areas though they did in spaces with working air conditioning. We received an email late in the day today stating that the same policy would be in effect for next week. The students will be happy. Most didn't wear masks in my non-air conditioned 2nd floor classroom this week. I wore a mask for the first 6 periods each day but 7th is my lunch alone in my classroom and then by 8th I was like "screw it". That is my smallest class, though, and they all insist on sitting as far away from me as possible so I am not too freaked out about it. Are you still wearing a mask?

Nope. I've never worn one. My husband is back to wearing them at work, because Pizza hut says he has to. Otherwise, like me, he wouldn't be wearing one. At least masks are optional in your state, and you're wearing it out of choice. As it should be.

They are mandated in schools but not all schools (or parts of schools) have AC so there are exceptions if it is hot/humid.

Jay still worried about his health, so he wears a mask. I no longer wear a mask, except when it's required in a public place.

Yes, we are still wearing our masks. My husband is religious about it when he goes into places like Walmart.

I haven't worn a mask in months. The kids don't wear them for school either. There is no mandate here. I think the last time I wore won was when we went in for the other half's surgery in May. I may of had one with me when I went to the ER for my mouth, but I dont remember.
