9/11 Here Again

Every year the news channels seem to start earlier with programs about this horrible time. I remember it well. I was between jobs at that time. I would go out in the early mornings and apply for jobs and go by Job Service. Then I would come home and listen to the ongoing horror of the situation in the US at that time on every local channel and cable channel. It was terrible and awful to hear the stories of the families who didn't know for sure yet what had happened to family members and how their 'normal' day had begun and ended. I must have listened to hundreds of horror stories. Over the years it seems like my sensitivity to anxiety has gotten worse, not better. I can get so bad that I get physically sick and my body shakes. I do have medication I can take if it gets too bad. So, over these years, I have had to eliminate things from my life that bring on any feelings of anxiety. I listen to the news or a program or two but I just can't do much more. They are having several ceremonies here in Boise and I will cry when I see the news about these. Sad, so very sad.

It is one of the most terrifying moments in world history. Everyone ought to remember it so it doesn't happen again.

It sure was. I thought it was a joke. Couldn't believe it was happening for about the first half an hour or so.

Everyone will remember where they were and what they were doing on 9/11 for years and years to come. I'm sorry you suffer from anxiety. I'm glad you have meds for it.
