I found this interesting: I am amazed at the foods we know as vegetables that are actually a fruit. Those that are full of seeds and grow on a vine. Two examples are Corn and pumpkins. So when we eat a piece of pumpkin pie we are actually eating a fruit pie. Corn is actually grown like a grain but is technically a fruit because of the way it grows. Eggplants, avocados, and cucumbers are all fruit. Eggplant is actually a berry.

Who told you corn is a fruit it doesn’t the the discription. It’s a grain. A grain in which my youngest child can actually eat. Pumpkins I could see why it might be a fruit it it’s not it’s part of the squash family and squash are vegetables. Banana are berries.

@celticeagle well corn grows on stocks that makes it a grain. Tomatoes grown on vines like grapes do which is a fruit. I wouldn’t know corn is a grain because it’s one of the plants that my 6 year old can eat and be used as a flour base.

I didn’t know that pumpkin pie is a fruit pie, because I always thought that pumpkin was a vegetable not a fruit. So cucumbers are a fruit as well and cucumbers have a lot of water in them. Are bell peppers a fruit too? I’m aware that avocado is a fruit but I didn’t know that eggplants are actually berries. What’s your favorite fruit?

It all depends on how they grow. I think peppers might be. Not sure. Pineapple is my favorite fruit.

Also the banana is a berry, but they are all of the family of "vegetables" all things that "vegetarians" can eat. And strawberries are not berries, but "false fruits" or "accessory fruits", same as figs.

We know things wrongly and we teach the future generation the same But it doesn't matter what it is called a fruit or veggie as long as it fills our stomach
