My parents blame me for everything. From grades to trivial things, the blame me for everything. They always compare me with others. But every child is different right?I really don't want to live with them anymore. I want to find a job as soon as possible and just leave.

Relax. They are just trying to show you something. To help you move and do something about your life. Parents are just guidance. You must not be affected by what they say. Do the best you can do and someday they will be proud of you

I think your parents are trying to teach you something. Talk with them calmly about your problems. Leaving home is not a solution right now I guess. Work hard and I'm sure they will be proud of you some day.

I think nearly half the human parents are like this. Comparison seems to be quite common. It is good to be independent. Otherwise, one simply has to adjust with the parents. Anyway, the final decision has to be of the individual.

Why do they blame you for everything, you should discuss it with them calmly. I agree everyone has his/her strength and weakness one should not compare a child with any other child. How old are you at present?.

I am 18 years old now. I am pursuing BTECH probably will get a job in next 4 years. It's not that easy to discuss it with my parents. Especially mom...she keeps on shouting. I just want to move into a hostel when offline classes start

Ok dear. Calm down. Some parents are like that and at the end of the day, they care for us. Find a suitable job for yourself and leave the house gracefully without doing any fights with them. Take care

Many parents are like this unfortunately, but they will learn their mistake once you find a job or achieve something. Then they will be proud of you.

If you stop schooling now and start working instead, you have to make sure you get a very high paying job and know how to manage your money well because you will be paying for everything.

Do you feel you are always controlled? It's very sad that many are raised by manipulative parents.Lots of online videos now featuring narcissistic parents...
