This artwork took me 54 hrs. to finish..Working on this, helped me ease my frustrations in not seeing people's lips when they talk, because before this pandemic, I lost part of my hearing, therefore I had to learn to read people's lips when they talk.. Even with hearing aide, it is hard to hear what they are saying with face masks on.. But most especially, I really miss seeing people smile.. When we go shopping, before this pandemic, It feels good acknowledging other people's presence with a smile.. I really miss that.. I realised how important it is to see smiles on people's faces..Friendly smiles, make the world brighter and safer place.. Anyway, I observed dandelions thriving around the garden.. I love the shape of the leaves and the flowers..They are pretty and fascinating..So I googled it..I and most people thought of them as weeds, but they are actually edible perennial herb.. One of the oldest herbs used for food and healing since before Roman times.. Every part of dandelion is edible.. but I have to do more research on it on how it can be used in cooking.. So, part of my painting is inspired by dandelion.. I made them brighter than the covid virus that made us all wear face masks for nearly two years now.. my dandelions are brighter and larger than any viruses floating around..I know it's crazy, but I imagined that maybe dandelions is the cure.. lol!.. Because I believe that Mother Nature knows best .. and Art is a healer.. Take very good care everyone..
